The mission of the DOZ Charitable Foundation, Inc. is to provide monetary and human resources support to those without the means to adequately provide for themselves, whether directly or in cooperation with entities sharing similar purposes.
For the past 4 years, the DOZ Charitable Foundation has supported Indiana’s Autism Speaks organization. Autism Speaks has a goal of changing the future “for all who struggle with an autism spectrum disorder”. Their Autism Speaks Walk is their signature fundraising and awareness event, and it has been attended by members of the DOZ Charity Foundation.
The DOZ Outreach Committee is comprised of employees from Dauby O’Connor & Zaleski, and it works in conjunction with the DOZ Charitable Foundation. Employees volunteer their time with charities chosen by the committee, and the committee administers volunteer efforts.
The DOZ Charitable Foundation participated in the Back On My Feet Relay in September 2019. Back On My Feet combats homelessness through the power of running, community support and essential employment and housing resources.
Fair Haven is an Indianapolis organization that provides free temporary housing for those undergoing outpatient treatment for cancer at 2 local hospitals. This charity has benefitted from the DOZ Charitable Foundation both financially through donations and by members of the DOZ outreach committee volunteering at their annual fundraising event, their Parisian Flea Market.
The DOZ Charitable Foundation and the DOZ Outreach Committee devoted a total of 400 man hours creating meals on an assembly line. For the past four years, these meals have been distributed to local food banks.
Horizon International is a faith-based relief and child sponsorship organization supporting orphaned African children. Based in Pendleton, IN, Horizon works with in-country partners in 5 African countries sponsoring close to 3,000 children. The DOZ Foundation participated in a Golf tournament that benefitted Horizon in May of 2019.
The Muscular Dystrophy Family Foundation (MDFF) is a central Indiana charity that provides financial assistance, quality programs, and services for children and adult living with Muscular Dystrophy. The DOZ Charitable Foundation donates regularly to this organization in the form of direct donations and sponsored a team for the MDFF Trivia Night.
The DOZ Charitable Foundation has supported the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) for many years, both by distributing funds to the charity and by volunteering at the main Indianapolis fundraising event, the JDRF 5K Walk, held annually in October.
Paddle for Puppies is an annual charity paddle in Austin, Texas to benefit Austin Pets Alive's Parvo Puppy Program. DOZ employees from our Austin office paddled on the Colorado River and helped raise money for APA in August 2019.
